In short. Revl AI is an early-stage, founder-led project. The hosted gateway is invite-only and may change. You bring your own provider API key, and your provider bills you for model usage. No fees are charged today. The service comes with no warranty.
1. Acceptance and who we are
These terms cover the website at proxyrevlvay.com and the hosted Revl gateway at api.proxyrevlvay.com. Together we call them the "service". The terms are an agreement between you and Revl AI ("we", "us").
Operator. Revl AI (Operated by Luat Nguyen), based in Da Nang, Vietnam.
Revl AI is an early-stage, founder-led project. It is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic or OpenAI.
By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we handle.
2. The service and early access
The Revl gateway sits between your application and a model provider (Anthropic or OpenAI). It forwards your requests using your own provider API key. It can also cache exact-match responses, mask personal data and secrets, retry failed calls and apply rate limits. The documentation describes what the current version does.
Early access. The service is in early access. The hosted gateway is invite-only and is being rolled out to the waitlist. It is not generally available. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee an invitation.
Changes. Features and limits may change, and a feature may be removed. Items described on the site as roadmap are not built yet. They are plans, not commitments.
Open-source core. The gateway core is open source (source on GitHub) and you can host it on your own Cloudflare account. Your use of that code is governed by the MIT licence, not by these terms. If you self-host, you are the operator of that deployment and you are responsible for it. Revl AI processes nothing for a self-hosted deployment.
3. Accounts and gateway keys
There are no user accounts or passwords today. Access to the hosted gateway is by invitation. If we invite you, you get a gateway access key, which you send in the X-Revl-Key header.
- We store only the SHA-256 hash of the key.
- Keep the key secret. Do not put it in client-side code or in a public repository.
- You are responsible for activity under your key.
- If you think a key has leaked, email founder@proxyrevlvay.com so we can disable it.
- Requests are rate limited per gateway key.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into this agreement.
4. Bring your own key (BYOK)
Revl AI does not resell, sublicense, pool or share model-provider API access.
- You supply your own provider API key with each request, in that provider's standard header.
- Each request is made under your own provider account, your own billing, and that provider's terms and usage policies. You are responsible for complying with them.
- Your provider key is forwarded for the single request it arrives with. It is never stored, never logged and never used for any other caller.
- Only provider API keys are accepted. OAuth tokens and consumer subscription tokens are rejected.
- The gateway is for your own pay-as-you-go provider API account. It is not for pooling or sharing consumer subscriptions.
- Revl AI charges only for the gateway service, and only once paid plans launch. It never charges for model usage. Your provider bills you directly.
5. Acceptable use
You must not, and must not let anyone else:
- use the service to break the law;
- use the service to create or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory or harassing, or that exploits or harms children;
- get around rate limits, authentication or security measures, or use the service to attack, probe or disrupt any network, provider or other party;
- use a provider API key or a gateway key that you are not authorised to use;
- resell, pool or share model-provider API access through the gateway;
- send an OAuth token or a consumer subscription token in place of a provider API key;
- use the gateway in a way that breaks your model provider's terms or usage policies;
- resell access to the hosted gateway, or share your gateway key outside your own team or organisation.
If we reasonably believe a key is being used in breach of this section, we may disable it. See section 13.
6. Your content and data
"Your content" means the requests you send through the hosted gateway and the responses returned to you.
- It is yours. As between you and us, your content belongs to you. We claim no rights in it.
- What we do with it. You allow us to process your content only as needed to run the gateway for you: to forward it to the provider you chose, to mask it and to cache the response when you turn those options on, and to return the response to you.
- No training. We do not use your content to train models. Revl AI trains no models.
- No body logging. Request and response bodies are never logged.
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for your content, for having the right to send it, including any personal data of other people in it, and for how you use the responses.
The Privacy Policy sets out what the gateway stores and logs.
7. Caching and masking
Caching and masking are off unless you turn them on for a request. You are responsible for deciding when to use them, for configuring them and for testing them on your own workload.
- Caching is exact-match. When you turn it on, a later identical request from the same tenant with the same provider key can be answered from the cache until the TTL you set runs out. The TTL is between 60 seconds and 24 hours. You decide whether a cached answer is acceptable for a given request.
- Masking is pattern based. It will miss things. It is not applied to tool definitions, tool call arguments, or image and document data. In the current version it is not available for streaming requests.
- Masking is not a compliance control by itself. Do not rely on it as your only safeguard for personal data or secrets.
We do not promise that caching will reduce your provider costs by any amount, or that masking will catch every value.
8. Plans and fees (planned)
- No fees are charged today. We take no payment details.
- The three plans shown in the pricing section of the site are planned pricing for the hosted gateway. You cannot buy them today. Prices and what each plan includes may change before launch.
- When paid plans launch, Revl AI will charge only for the gateway service. We will update these terms before any fee applies, and we will not charge you unless you choose a paid plan.
- Model usage is always billed by your provider, directly to you, under your own provider account. Revl AI never charges for model usage.
9. Third-party providers
The gateway forwards your requests to the provider you choose: Anthropic or OpenAI. Your use of that provider is under your own account and under its terms, usage policies and pricing.
We do not control providers. We are not responsible for their availability, pricing, models or output. Model names, availability and behaviour can change at the provider's discretion.
Model output can be wrong, incomplete or offensive. Check it before you rely on it.
The website and the hosted gateway run on Cloudflare. An outage at Cloudflare or at your provider can make the service unavailable.
10. Intellectual property and feedback
The open-source core is licensed to you under the MIT licence.
The website, its text and design, and the Revl AI name and logo belong to Revl AI. These terms give you no rights in them beyond using the service as described here.
The names of model providers and their models belong to their owners. We use them only to say what the gateway works with.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.
11. No warranty
The service is provided as is and as available. It is in early access. It may have bugs, it may change, and it may be unavailable without notice. There is no uptime commitment and no support commitment.
To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind about the service, whether express or implied. That includes any implied warranty of quality, of fitness for a particular purpose or of non-infringement.
We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, or that it will meet your needs. We do not promise any result from caching or masking. We are not responsible for what a model provider returns.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, that arise from your use of the service.
- Our total liability for all claims connected with the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or US$100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You are responsible for your own use of the service and for your content.
13. Termination
- You can stop using the service at any time. To leave the waitlist or to have a gateway key disabled, email us.
- We may suspend or end your access to the hosted gateway at any time. Examples: you break these terms, your use puts the service or other people at risk, the law requires it, or we stop offering the hosted gateway. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.
- When access ends, your gateway key stops working. Cache entries expire at the TTL you set. The gateway keeps no other copy of your content.
- Ending access does not affect your rights under the open-source licence of the core.
- Sections 6, 10, 11, 12 and 14 continue to apply after access ends.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Any dispute will first be raised by email to founder@proxyrevlvay.com so that we can try to resolve it informally. If it cannot be resolved that way, the competent court in Da Nang, Vietnam has jurisdiction.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the mandatory consumer or data-protection law of the place where you live.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms as the project develops. We will post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
